I will be serving lunch, a lunch that you prepare. Today we will be enjoying a delicious Minestrone soup. The old line, “waiter, there is a fly in my soup will be very apropos”.
You will need 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 carrots-peeled and diced, ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes, coarse salt, ground pepper, 1 large potato- peeled and diced, 1 (15 ounce) can cannelloni beans- rinsed and drained, 1 minced garlic clove, ¾ cup grated Parmesan for serving, 1 chopped medium red onion, 1 celery stalk-diced, ¼ teaspoon dried rosemary, 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes- drained and chopped, ¼ head Savoy cabbage, ½ pound green beans-trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces, ¼ cup chopped fresh basil and a cart pulled by eight oxen to drag all these ingredients to your kitchen!
Heat oil over medium heat in a large pot. Add onion, celery, red pepper flakes, rosemary, 1 and ½ teaspoons salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Cook until onion turns golden.
Add tomatoes and cook until some of the liquid disappears. Add potato, cabbage, cannelloni beans and 7 cups of water. Bring to a boil and stir in green beans.
Reduce heat and cook until the veggies are soft. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in garlic and basil. Bring your soup to my place. I will provide the Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top along with a suitable beverage. See you soon.
Hello, my human friends. I have been flying around the nation observing some of the teachers and the teaching going on in your nation’s institutions of higher education. To say that I am alarmed is a gross understatement.
Can someone please explain to me why former members of domestic terrorist organizations are college professors? There are at least 12 domestic terrorists busily at work indoctrinating your children. I am sure you are familiar with the name Bill Ayers, who was a member of the Weather Underground and friend of your President. He taught at the University of Illinois in Chicago. Thankfully he is now retired, but the same cannot be said of his wife Bernadine Dohrn. Ms. Dohrn still teaches at Northwestern Law. Her distinguished past includes being a leader in the Weather Underground. The group was responsible for the bombing of the United States Capitol, the Pentagon and a few police stations in New York. At one time she was on the F.B.I’s ten most wanted list. I am sure you would agree that she has “quite” the resume for terrorism school, but not an American university.
If you don’t know who is on the staff at your children’s universities, I suggest you find out. Clearly, your nation has a very short memory when it comes to domestic terrorism. That’s not only a shame, it is a grave mistake.
Come fly with me…Buzzy
