In any case, today we will be preparing a luscious chicken salad croissant delight. For a whopping 6 servings you will need 20 ounces of broiled chicken breasts, 1 cup seedless green grapes- halved, ½ cup sliced almonds, ½ cup chopped celery, 1 (8) ounce can of mandarin oranges- drained and ¾ cup of any creamy dressing you like.
Cut chicken into cubes and mix with the rest of the ingredients. Chill for a while and serve on croissants. Bring all 6 croissants to LunchPop’s house. Dottie will be there ready to relieve you of your lunch.
Welcome, my earthling friends. I am quite perplexed by an incident that occurred in the McAllen School District in Texas. A High School student, Brenda Brinsdon, was told to to stand and pledge allegiance to the Mexican flag. She was also instructed to sing the Mexican Anthem. This was all part of her Spanish 3 class and Ms. Brinsdon who is fluent in Spanish and the daughter of a Mexican immigrant refused to comply.
The response to her understandable refusal was disgusting. Brenda was removed from her class. Now this incident occurred one year ago. I have the ability to go back in time, so I witnessed this outrage in alien real time.
Brenda refused to recite the Mexican pledge and sing the Mexican anthem of another country. She offered to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish, but school authorities weren’t interested.
In this alien’s opinion, Brenda was well within her rights as an American citizen to refuse to pledge her allegiance to Mexico. As American citizens you should be outraged as well. Life in school did not improve for this above average student. She was removed from her Spanish class and received a failing final grade. This travesty was corrected at a later time, but the damage was done.
I am happy to report that the Thomas More Law Center has filed a lawsuit on Brenda’s behalf.
My earthling friends, this kind of injustice is everyone’s business. You are citizens of a great nation that does not require its own citizens to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Pledging Allegiance to a foreign country is simply unthinkable.
Until we meet again, remember… the price of freedom is eternal vigilance…
