Obama asked the question this week as he toured about the talk show circuit… "How can I get more Americans to feel more comfortable?” The unstated part of that sentence applies to the “spying and intelligence activities” of our government on the domestic front. He never asks the question as to whether the government might just be over-stepping it boundaries but more pointedly, “How do we get the American people to simply overlook things and go on with life?” Whether you know it or not, Obama and company have been searching for answers to that question at every turn since this administration took office. He and his minions want you to “be comfortable” and “not question” anything that his administration attempts…from “Affordable Healthcare to “Fast and Furious” to the “Benghazi Tragedy”.
Tie his references to getting America to shrug it shoulders at intelligence digging on the domestic front with his recent statements designed to suggest that the various scandals plaguing his administration were all phony trumped up claims of the Right. When Americans question Obama and his intent, he grows angry quite readily that anyone would question the “anointed one” even when he is trampling on the Constitution or ignoring the Rule of Law. These things are simply encumbrances to the Obama Administration and should be rightly swept aside without question.
Obama’s campaign rhetoric lashed out at Republicans in the House this week for their attempts on defunding the Affordable Healthcare Act. Obama labeled the effort as simply an attempt by the Republicans to deny healthcare to some 30 million (his numbers) Americans currently not covered by insurance due to either the costs or pre-existing conditions. Obama went a step further to criticize the right for not offering any better solutions to the legislation as his way of defending it. Here, once again, is that tired old liberal effort to assign labels and have the accused attempt to defend a negative yet the Republicans stand there mute shivering in silence for fear that someone might play the “race card”.
Obama’s defense of the so-called “Affordable Healthcare Act” is to claim that it will end the woes of these 30 million Americans who are currently not covered by insurance. He stops short of telling you that a good portion of these people are not covered for reasons of their own but mainly because they are unwilling to fork out the cost of insurance as they had rather have a new video gaming system or a large wide-screen television. The only way 30 million people are going to gain coverage under this legislation is for the government to give them the insurance and that is precisely what will happen. The rest of American taxpayers will bear the burden of that costs plus the additional financial burden of paying for their own healthcare costs. No doubt, this process will eventually break the financial back of the middle-income earner in America.
Middle income Americans who work for a living cannot now afford this legislation as the downstream financial burden will grow larger and large over time as they work to attempt to pay for not only their own “government required insurance” but also that of others who are paying nothing for it. In fact, a great portion of working Americans may find that they cannot afford health insurance at all as it is fashioned by this legislation. The alternative…paying the annual fines associated with non-compliance of the law…no small burden either. You see, in the end, the government really does not give a tinker’s damn about you or your family as long as it is wringing money out of your pockets in some fashion. It is not the concern that is important; it is the consequence which sustains the purpose.
Obama’s credibility has long since faded away as nothing more than a pipe-dream to anyone who is paying attention to his actions. This president will do or say anything which ultimately suits his purposes. America has so many people waiting in line right now for the next “government freebie” that all Obama has to worry about is simply inflaming them with the threat that the promise just might not be delivered, then pass out a few “liberal labels” and the wheels come off. As soon as that happens, the Republicans drop their guns like the French at Dien Bien Phu and start waving the white flag in surrender. Oh, dear God…please don’t let Obama play the “race card”!
Meanwhile, Obama and his anointed ones like Eric Holder, continue to carry out whatever actions they feel are necessary and suiting to their purpose only to cry foul when any of those efforts are uncovered. How can we feel comfortable about what is going on when the President is using the IRS to politically manipulate and intimidate conservative non-profits? How can we feel comfortable when that effort begins to extend its purposes into the NSA? How can we feel comfortable when the government begins to establish a database on each one of us when we have done nothing whatsoever to warrant the attention? How can we feel comfortable when those surviving the Benghazi tragedy are continually harassed and cowered by the fears of government retribution if they should share anything they know of the subject? We once lived in a country where one could not be convicted of a crime until proven guilty of it. Obama should understand that concept having been a “Magna Cum Laude” honor grad of the esteemed Harvard Law School. How can an intelligent person ask such a stupid question and expect an answer? The answer is…he does not. All he expects is to shut America up in terms of questioning his actions.
Hitler told his people that they no longer needed their guns because their government was “there to protect them”. How did that work out for them? In hindsight, how comfortable should the German people have been with Hitler’s desires and actions? America swept Richard Nixon right out of office in the middle of his term for far less scandalous actions than those associated with the Obama Administration. Did we make a mistake then and are now rectifying it by being more tolerant in our approach? If so, then we are nothing short of what the German people became when Hitler took their country away from them.
We, as a nation, have a framework established by the Constitution. We have laws which meet the intent and muster of the Constitution. We have the Rule of Law which establishes that not one of us is above the law including Barack Obama, Eric Holder, or the IRS director who took the 5th yet contended that she had done nothing wrong in her actions. She even agreed to share the information provided that she was granted totally immunity. In theory, we have a government designed with elements which hold checks and balances over each other. In effect, Barack Obama should not be able to get away with the things he does if that system were functional. Unfortunately, colluding entities within those elements have rendered that system rather ineffective since Obama took office.
If, at any time, you should question the power of “the race card”, I suggest that you take a look at the Obama Administration from start to finish. For once it is ended with the 2016 election process; we will have a module of history in which the “race card” became the basis of leverage and power so strong that it altered the functionality of the American government forever. It turned men and women who were elected to stand on principles and protect and defend the Constitution into a bunch of snibbling idiots incapable of standing up for anything they believed in at one time or other. It undermined the framework of the Constitution; ignored the requirements of established law, and made a mockery out of States Rights. Ultimately, it eroded the freedoms and liberties that we Americans have enjoyed for over two centuries and offered this great nation up to the evil powers of world domination. When we examine that period in history, who will the legacy belong to in the end? That answer is an easy one…Barack Hussein Obama and the apathy of the American voting public.
