Small businesses in America are the backbone of employment in the U.S. economy. Corporations expand on that number exponentially. How could Ms. Clinton reach such a conclusion if she “brought mathematics with her to Washington,” as she claims to have? Some might conclude that Ms. Clinton has apparently applied the logic associated with Common Core in her analysis! But I have a different conclusion, and one that is far more disconcerting. Ms. Clinton is a socialist—not a liberal—a socialist, and her statement regarding job creation illuminates that fact better than anything she has said to date, with the possible exception of “It takes a village to raise a child.”
You see, at the heart of socialism is the belief that the government is the center of the universe and that all things come from it for the “good of the people.” Accordingly, government should have every right to dictate the laws, regulations, and rules that will control every aspect of your life. Government will decide who makes what, how much they make of it, and who will share in the spoils of what they confiscate and redistribute. Government is the only entity that is objective and thus capable of quantifying what is fair and equal throughout our land—“a chicken in every pot, so to speak.” Hillary believes that—or, stated more accurately— she wants you to believe that she believes that. But this is just a little disingenuous since she will never again be among the “little people”; she will be of the ruling class and therefore outside the probing tentacles of “Mother Government.” The concept of an all-intrusive government is much easier to stomach when you’re part of it.
Ms. Clinton sees a government in which she will be at the helm—a “monster” of a government dwarfing even that of Barack Obama. Because of its enormity, the government will have more job openings than all of the private sector. But, there is one problem—the government produces nothing of material value that can be sold to produce a profit. And profit is the sole purpose of “business,” unless you look at it like Ms. Clinton does. Apparently she believes that business should exist solely for the benefit of the public, irrespective of the business model of product and profit. Doesn’t it make you feel all warm and fuzzy to know that we will all have jobs with the government if Hillary has her way? Sounds fun, huh? But where would the government get the money to pay us? Uh-oh!
That’s right—one resounding “Uh-oh” would be heard across the nation if more people understood the ramifications of socialist theories.
Profits are made in the private sector of the business world. Simply put, profits are the revenue left after subtracting the cost of production. Businesses pursue a strategy that employs a workforce of a given size in order to achieve the production and service goals that it sets in the marketplace. There is a “business need” for each job and each job requires a particular skill or talent in order to produce the commodity or service of the company. When business targets are not met, sales decline and, if the trend continues, the business reduces its workforce. It’s called supply and demand. This phenomenon does not exist in “government,” because when expenses exceed revenue, politicians have an answer —it’s called higher taxation. Tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend—the only two options that most politicians consider when governing. The thought of “shrinking” government in size is a bitter pill for most of them to swallow and, with Hillary, it destroys her dream of working the levers on the “monster” as she sees it.
If we continue on the current path which has been set by Barack Obama (and we surely will with Ms. Clinton), government will simply continue to grow both in its size and dominance over us. Ms. Clinton relishes that idea, always has since the very first time she rubbed elbows with political power and saw how it could separate her from the “little people” of this nation. The Founders of this nation never intended it to be presided over by a massive federal government. If that were the case, why did the Constitution not instill greater power in the federal government from the outset? Why did our founders instead lean more toward “Individual Freedom” and “States’ Rights”? They did so to preserve the idea that the people do not exist to serve the government—the government exists to serve the people and only at their will. Ms. Clinton is not so stupid that such a concept evades her—no, the concept simply does not serve her purposes for power and control.
Liberalism is all but dead in this nation, but the liberals will be the last ones to know. The reins of power of the Left are in the hands of progressive socialists like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Elizabeth Warren, to name a few. Their beliefs no longer lean to the left of center of democracy—oh, no! Their beliefs have nothing to do with democracy. Their beliefs are rooted in a government which controls everything, rations everything as it sees fit, and answers to no one—a government where those who control it are immune to question, superior in their thoughts and abilities, and always right (even when they are wrong). To their way of thinking, this nation is not about you or your welfare—it’s about them and, more importantly, about what will enrich them personally.
So, while you stand in awe of the highly revered “intelligence” of Hillary Clinton and relish the day that you can vote for her as president, I caution you that her beliefs that government is the answer to all our ills will eventually become the justification to take away all that you have and all that you ever will have in the name of the common good. So says Hillary Clinton and so says the government! By the way, once Hillary & Co. takes over, good luck on finding a job!
