Only general details of Clinton’s plan have been released but there is enough information to determine that Hillary, like Barack Obama, believes that the role of the federal government is to create jobs rather than nurture a positive job environment. Clinton plans to allocate $250 billion for the creation of jobs and deposit the remaining $25 billion into an “infrastructure bank” where the funds would be earmarked for the repair or modification of roads, highways, sewer systems, etc. That part of the plan is troubling considering what the federal government did with our Social Security funds. Once again, a plan alludes to funds being under lock and key when in reality they will be stirred right into the general pot and spent like every other dollar the federal government collects.
Let us call a spade a spade here. Clinton is peddling the same construction-site, shovel-ready job image that Obama used during his campaign, but the real deal is that she is throwing a bone to the trade unions, to which the vast majority of construction workers--especially in the northeast--belong. She is buying votes with promises of downstream money; those big construction companies will benefit mightily by winning federal bids. Of course, by the time Clinton’s plan is implemented, Obama will have put more executive orders on the books that tip the scales in favor of employing illegals and refugees and reduce the possibility of hiring the average American. But let’s be real—Hillary's plan is not about job creation. It’s about winning an election.
So how does Ms. Clinton propose paying for this so-called massive job creation? This is truly laughable. She plans to get the money by closing loopholes in the corporate tax structure— essentially penalizing those businesses that are already providing jobs. Certainly there will be a sector of Americans that lap up this punitive beat-up-on-business stuff like pigs eating slop. They truly believe that the government can create jobs when in reality the only jobs that the government ever creates are those that arise from the ongoing creep of an ever-expanding federal government, which is to say governmental jobs. The government does not produce a product, it produces no profit, and every dime that it takes in comes out of the taxpayer’s pocket. So do not be fooled for a minute that Hillary is putting the screws to Corporate America. She is putting the screws to the American consumer. They are the ones who will get punished for the excesses of government via higher prices passed down from the corporations.
You see, like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton cannot move her power-seeking ego out of the way long enough to take the spotlight off herself as the All Powerful Oz. Neither Clinton or Obama (or any other Left-Leaner for that matter) would ever promote something that unbridles the private sector--
say, a plan to redesign the corporate tax structure so that it is more in line with the rest of the world. A lower corporate tax would ignite the job market, create a multitude of jobs, and set our Gross Domestic Product on a new upward trend. At the same time, the flow of funds into the federal coffers would increase the funding available for infrastructure development and renewal without imposing penalties or establishing "infrastructure banks." But no, Ms. Clinton needs to do it her way so that she can appear to have actually created some bit of genius out of her abnormally high intellect—a genius that no other woman (or man for that matter) could ever hope to match.
After listening to Clinton and Obama, one might conclude that both believe that the vast majority of Americans seeking employment are endowed at birth with the ability to work in the construction industry. There is no reason to question the need for specific skills as all these jobs are vaguely referred to as “shovel-ready.” Seriously. No mention has been made concerning the additional spending that will have to go into subsidizing training programs for people who have never been on a job site. No doubt the guys and gals who’ve lost their jobs down at Radio Shack and never set foot on a construction site will be lining up for these “infrastructure” jobs. They need to just get in line behind the illegals and Syrian refugees.
Every politician running for office has a plan. The public demands it—at least the ones who seem to be paying attention do. So here come the Liberals’ “great society” plans to get us to Utopia, but these plans are frustratingly devoid of the pesky details that would cause us to turn thumbs down on them in a heartbeat. Instead, we seem to just get sucker-punched over and over while actually expecting a different outcome. As you know, Einstein referred to this as the definition of stupidity. Now, if we really are that stupid, we will vote to don our hard-hats and work in the sewers for Hillary under her shovel-readly plan for the great American Utopia.
