Following this week’s court ruling upholding the original ruling by a Texas judge, Obama’s executive action on immigration reform seems to be at a legal standstill. Twenty-six states took issue with Obama’s abuse of power on this matter, seeing it simply as an extension of other abuses—e.g., altering the ObamaCare laws without proper action by the Congress. The Republican-controlled Congress, terrified of disagreeing with the president lest they be accused of racism, does little to rein in Obama’s abuse of power, instead leaving it to the Judicial branch.
The Obama Administration has attacked the American way of life on almost every front, resulting in extreme division among our populace over issues of class, race, wealth, sexual preference, religion, healthcare, and immigration. Foreign Relations is about the only arena in which this administration’s involvement has not ended up in the court system. Of course, there is a good explanation for that: one cannot litigate a joke, and Obama’s foreign policy is a joke—but no one is laughing.
America has been strongly allied with many nations since World War II, and past presidents have acknowledged those relationships and sustained them as being representative of the will of the peoples of those nations. This is especially true of Great Britain and Israel. However, as soon as Barack Obama became president, he distanced himself from Great Britain, displaying an open disdain for that nation’s long history of colonialism. Israel fared no better: at every opportunity, Mr. Obama openly defied Netanyahu’s leadership of that nation, even going so far as to thwart his re-election efforts. Our strongest allies in both Europe and the Middle East are now mistrustful of our friendship and our support, thanks to Obama.
There is an increasing level of chaos in the Middle East which threatens to destabilize all of Europe as it spreads. Egypt has slipped in and out of control by the Muslim Brotherhood, as Obama stands by and nods his approval. Iran continues to build its nuclear abilities as Obama works to relieve the one choke point on that issue—economic sanctions. ISIS is now expanding its control over Iraq cities, extending its bloody fingers of rape, torture, and fear over the Iraqi people. American soldiers shed their blood and their lives to stop the bloody reign of Saddam Hussein; now Obama stands poised to allow ISIS to reinstate tyranny over that nation, a ruthless reign that will make Hussein look like a school boy.
The stance of the Obama Administration is this is not America’s fight—let them work it out. Unfortunately, the trouble with that approach is the spillover effect it will have on the rest of the world. What would have happened if Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor had been answered with a dismissive wave of the hand by Mr. Roosevelt? What might have been the fate of the entire world if Hitler’s invading Nazi forces had not been turned back by the U.S. and its allies?
We live in an America today where many have been led to believe that the USA was responsible for creating situations leading to all of our past military involvements in conflicts around the world. They subscribe to an isolationist philosophy, praying that the lion will eat them last. They actually believe that their peaceful intentions will be met by equally peaceful reactions from a bunch of heathens turned loose on the world. (I assume the point at which they quit believing that fairy tale is just before their head falls into a woven basket designed to catch it.) The nation is in the hands of a bunch of post-Vietnam radicals who believe that everything about this nation is wrong and socialism is the only cure.
Meanwhile, we still have a Secretary of State who probably could not tell you what the mission of the U.S. State Department is without having it written out in front of him. (That begs the question: do they have one? What is it?) He flies about the world in an expensive jet just as his predecessor Hillary Clinton did, doing exactly the same thing: dispensing money in the hope of buying favors and basically getting nothing in return. In addition, the State Department is fronted by two women who obviously consider themselves far too superior to explain to the media and the great unwashed exactly what they do or what the administration’s strategy is. (Remember, Ms. Hart opined that ISIS would disband if only they could find some good-paying jobs.) This is why John Kerry—like Hillary Clinton—will never be able to viably list any real accomplishments other than screwing things up and handing out money that we do not have to spend.
America is being transformed by apathy, political correctness, stupidity, and lies, the very basis of the Obama Legacy. There are those among us who are mightily worried that legal proceedings against Obama will imperil his legacy. They need not worry. This man will earn the legacy he so richly deserves—one characterized by socialism, tyranny, and a condescending disrespect for our nation and the principles upon which it was founded. In his wake, people will be left to find their own way out of the multiple messes he created, not only in America, but throughout the world.
