This week Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer is out telling folks that the “Tea Party Elite” and Rush Limbaugh are responsible for people turning against the government and programs like ObamaCare. You see, Mr. Schumer wants you to believe that you and all the other voters would really like ObamaCare and be thrilled to be a part of it if only those spoil-sport Tea Party folks and Rush Limbaugh did not tell you otherwise. I really do not know anyone who is a “Tea Party Elite” since the Tea Party is more of a philosophy than a “party,” per se. It is a belief system certain people subscribe to when it comes to adherence to constitutional governance, limiting the size of government, subscribing to the rule of law, and demonstrating fiscal restraint and accountability. To insist that an elitist person or group of persons is forcing anyone to think a certain way is silly; for the most part, Tea Party views are common sense. Unfortunately for the Democrats, Obama’s programs defy common sense and logic.
On the issue of Rush Limbaugh creating the problem, we really need to look at listener market share. Rush Limbaugh entertains an audience of about twenty million. The last time I checked, that was only about six percent of the U.S. population. How is it that the influence of six percent of the population is souring the milk for everyone else? To hear the Liberals tell it, Limbaugh is simply a bag of wind, so how can they imagine anyone believes what he has to say? To maintain that Limbaugh has nothing of substance to say, then counter with the claim that he is creating the mindset of over fifty percent of the population who oppose ObamaCare, is like asking to have it both ways. You see what I mean about common sense and logic?
Now Obama is adding into the mix the claim that Fox News is another reason that his programs are failing. Never mind that CNN and MSNBC spend most of their on-air time either drooling over something the president has done, or totally ignoring something in which he is involved that should be reported. Admittedly, Fox has a larger audience than the other two put together, but when did it become Fox’s job to vet the behavior and actions of the President of the United States? Here again, it would be very difficult to believe that Obama’s approval rating rises and falls at the hands of Fox News. Two out of three people do not care for the policies and programs of this president, and this president wants you to believe that this sixty percent figure was created by Fox News? Wow, I am sure every executive at Fox would love to believe they could take credit for having so much influence with the American public! In fact, the American public, to a large degree, remains rather uninformed and misled, as is well evidenced by the overly-represented Liberal element elected to high office today.
When this political mud is thrown around, the only point can be one thing—and that is manipulation. No doubt, the Democrats have their talking points and cannot wait to share them with the media in order to paint the wall the color that they want it. Libs in high places have no trouble finding media lackeys to carry their distorted message, e.g., framing opposition to abortion and Planned Parenthood as opposition to sexual freedom. . .when in reality it is nothing less than the destruction of human life.
One thing we can be sure of is that Obama will be making excuses for his term in office long after he has vacated it--that is, unless he barricades himself in the Oval Office claiming it is the “will of the people” and wreaks no further damage. Obama promised the American voter the moon on his trek into the Oval Office, and now someone has to be responsible for the fact that he cannot deliver. For him to take the blame would not mesh well with the god-like image the liberal media has bestowed upon him or with those blind followers begging for a reason to worship at his feet. George Bush has been gone too long, so there is not much left except Rush Limbaugh, The Tea Party, and the race card.
As I write this piece, Obama and company are preparing for the President’s State of the Union address to both chambers of Congress. I am sure the speech will be filled with all the justifications to move forward on immigration reform and amnesty for illegals so that the doors can be opened to raise the hue and cry for “declared citizenship”. This suits the liberal agenda in that it shifts the voter base to the left for many decades to come. The actual welfare of illegals matters little as long as they find a way to move them into the voter pool as quickly as possible. As for border security, you can forget that being addressed with any real substance. Obama will re-ignite the flames of controversy on as many topics as possible and rub salt in the wounds of feminism, abortion, race, and any other subject that keeps the focus away from the scandals surrounding his administration. Obama has an agenda, but it has nothing to do with fairness, equality, or the advancement of America. He worships at the altar of a different philosophy—a philosophy focused on selling-out America’s future—and he has three more years to do it. One can do a lot of damage in three years as President of the United States. In summary, it will not be a speech on the “State of the Union” so much as a litany of lies and threats.
So, as you listen to this president speak and point the finger of blame toward everyone else, listen for the things he does not say. His actions and his words do not operate in parallel . . . never have, never will. Obama uses oration to stir controversy or to placate or to appease, and that is exactly what he will continue to do. You can listen all you want but you will not hear him trumpet any measure of economic-improvement in the USA during his time in office. You will not hear of improving job numbers, nor will you hear anything regarding unemployment numbers among minorities—the “little people” he professes to be helping as he brings the jackboot of the federal government down on the neck of the private sector. Listen for the things you need to hear that truly mark improvement and all you will hear is silence or lies—the standard approach of the Obama Administration—a standard approach known as “the liberal blame game.”
