If Barack Obama has excelled at anything during his time in office, it has to be his never-ending efforts to drive wedges into the U.S. population. Looking back on his presidential tenure, the singular most consistent pattern of his administration has been one of divisiveness. Schooled by famed socialist Saul Alinsky who wrote Rules for Radicals, Obama has learned his lessons well and, although he moved on from his years as a community organizer in the 80’s, he is still applying them.
Obama’s began with the easiest of issues—race—and he has stirred that pot to a boil of racial friction not seen since the 1960’s. And let’s be clear on this one—Obama has in no way approached the issue of race with the insight or the integrity of Dr. Martin Luther King. King wanted more for his people and rightly so, but he did not seek it by broadening the divide between the black and white races. On the other hand, the lack of harmony between the races seems to suit Barack Obama. After all, the purpose of a community organizer is to agitate the aggrieved into action. . .it doesn’t matter what the complaint is or the action. What matters is the power: When Mr. Obama realized his limitations as a community organizer, he set his sights on positions of more power.
After making race an issue, he tackled religion. Mr. Obama and his administration went out of their way to protect and insulate from criticism those of the Muslim faith. In fact, I’m sure you remember when he said “Here in America, Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding,” a bit of a stretch since African slaves who were Muslim were forced to convert. And who can forget this gem from a keynote address in 2006: “Whatever we once were, we are no longer just a Christian nation; we are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers. And even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools?” That, folks, demonstrates Obama’s typical use of the “straw man” argument. Christians have never advocated any such thing and insinuating they have is nothing more than a backhanded smack at any non-Muslim who is rightly concerned about radical Islam and Sharia Law.
Having dispensed with race and religion, the Obama Administration decided gender issues were up next. It started with the issue of gay marriage—something Obama conveniently reversed his position on shortly after taking office. This issue also overlapped religion thus slamming the old constitution with a double whammy by undermining States Rights—something the federal government attempts to do on a daily basis. Our founding fathers were wise enough to realize that most matters of government should be left to the constituents of each state rather than determined at the federal level. But Obama and Co. weren’t interested in that approach, and now an issue that deals with less than 10% of the national population has become the platform on which to weaken both religion and state sovereignty at the same time.
Recently our daily news feed is consumed with the issue of gender identification. Obama’s chaos is now driven by his actions on transgender children in our school systems. With his ham-handed approach, something that never was an issue before has become one. Remember, his job as a community organizer is to agitate! He issued an executive decree to American school systems described as “guidance” on how to handle the use of restrooms by transgender students. However, this guidance went well beyond kindly assistance when the Obama Administration made it clear that any school that ignored his directive ran the risk of losing all federal funding. You can call that what you want, but it looks like blackmail to me. America is finally seeing the fruits of allowing federal intervention into our local school systems. Had Obama’s guidance come anywhere near the concept of common sense, one might have been able to deal with it, but that is certainly not the case. Rather than sending children to the restroom dictated by their birth gender, the guidance said that schools must allow a child to choose the facility based on his gender preference. In other words, if little Johnny feels like a girl today, he can go to the ladies room—even if he is 18 years old. Irrespective of Johnny’s feelings, those who have daughters will not care much for his presence in their restroom. Of course, Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia won’t have to worry about Johnny in their private school.
Over the past two weeks, I have heard many wondering aloud if the Obama Administration is trying to distract us by creating all this chaos with the transgender bathroom issue. Do not get pulled into that line of thinking. There is no cover up—it is what it is and Obama is perfectly content for the transgender use of bathrooms to be front page news. Score yet another victory for widening the gap between the various sects that make up the American public. Nothing could please Obama more.
