As soon as the bill was signed into law, the liberals vowed to abolish it. Now Austin and San Antonio, two known sanctuary cities—as well as liberal Meccas—are in the process of filing a lawsuit to sue the State of Texas claiming the ban violates the rights of the cities and those of the illegal immigrants. Now ask yourself—what right does any city possesses to disregard immigration laws, and, what rights are assigned to illegal immigrants simply because they are here? As soon as you attempt to answer those questions using a bit of logic and common sense, you see what is wrong here.
Illegal immigrants are not undocumented anything. They are in violation of existing laws merely based on the manner in which they arrived here—through illegal means. The only right assigned to them is that of human decency and that does not include extending them the rights of citizenship and the benefits thereof. Further, when one of these illegals commits a crime, they take on the status of criminal. Unfortunately, some city leaders feel it is their duty to ignore their criminal status and instruct the law enforcement officials under them to simply turn these criminals loose rather than over to federal immigration officials. However, if you, Joe Citizen break the same law, your butt is going to jail and you will be prosecuted. How is it that the illegal has more rights than the legal citizens of these communities?
As I have mentioned time and again, the reason for what is happening in parts of Texas and San Francisco, Detroit, and other cities around the country is that their city leaders are more interested in protecting what they see as a potential voting base than their citizens. In addition, these officials continue to stop any efforts at establishing proof of voter identification—the two efforts go hand in hand. From that point all they have to do is keep the benefits and handouts to the illegals coming and the loyalty will be repaid in the voting booth.
Do not believe for one minute that any of these efforts are based in compassion; they want their actions to be seen in that light, but the real interest lies in building and sustaining an illegal liberal voter base. In the most twisted fashion, it is outright discrimination against citizens who are born or are legally here.
Soon we will see Texas duke it out with Austin and San Antonio. If for some odd reason the court can find its way to side with ignoring current immigration laws, that will set the ground work for totally devaluing the basis of citizenship in this country and open the door to progressive liberals being able to steal elections in the future. As usual, the morality or ethics of stealing elections by promoting a base of illegal immigrants is not up for discussion— liberals will write it off as just an intelligent strategy on their part. After all, if they keep winning elections, the ends will justify the means.
Under Barack Obama and his administration, illegal immigration flourished because he told the border patrol and ICE officials to stand down. Along the way he filled many of the lower courts with liberal judges who legislate from the bench rather than enforce the laws of this nation. We have been left with an infrastructure which no longer functions to the benefit of the citizens of this nation. That must be fixed and fixed in a hurry. President Trump is certainly trying to turn this around, but he faces adversaries in both parties. Here’s hoping that the brave leadership of Texas lawmakers will encourage other like-minded states to pursue President Trump’s lead. If Washington, D.C. won’t do it, we must.
